Buddha and Trees – Watch the Buddha Statue Tree in Thailand
The Bodhi Tree, also known as Bo, was a large and very old Sacred Fig tree located in Bodh Gaya, Indian, under which Siddhartha Gautama, the spiritual teacher and founder of Buddhism later known as Gautama Buddha, is said to have achieved enlightenment, or Bodhi. In religious iconography, the Bodhi tree is recognizable by its heart-shaped leaves, which are usually prominently displayed. It takes 100 to 3,000 years for a bodhi tree to fully grow. During the shooting of the film “Mystic Blade” Guido Kessler heard about the trees that look like statues of Buddha. Together with members of the Forest of Peace team and photographer Peter Kraemer he visited the site and witnessed himself this Buddhist wonder. Best viewing of the distinct shape was during twilight hours for 4 months from Jan 11th 2011. “Transformation in the image of Buddha”
“The forest has a special character, and unlimited kindness and affection, which makes no demands and generously passed on the products of his life’s work, all creatures, it offers protection and shade even to the woodcutter who destroys it.“
